I have forgotten to mention that my friend R and I had our second creative tag team meet up a few weeks ago. I read from my proposal for Banff and some of the other pieces of the novel that I am working on and he played me this rap song he had been working on. My friend isn’t one for rap music, but he is so completely excited about doing this project with his little brother, that I thought that it was so cool that although he wasn’t working on the piece that he said that he was going to, he found something that was inspiring him. And it reminded me that although one might be working on one specific project, ones inner creator might have other plans…

In other news, I have noticed that everything is inspiring some aspect of my novel. It must be one of those things in which when you finally open yourself up to something, you start seeing it everywhere. Much like when I discovered feminism when I was 19 and suddenly every add pissed me off with its sexism. I am taking this as a sign that I am working on the right thing and that I am following the process as opposed to me controlling it.
